My name is Safa Brown and I’m an almost elder, late 30s, Black Muslim woman who has been married for more than half of my life to a Black Muslim man. Together, we have one daughter, Hafsa, affectionately called ‘The Kid’ or ‘Cub’.
I love saying I’m a Black, American, Muslim who was raised in a Black, American, Muslim household.
I love to read, watch Netflix and drag myself to work out. This blog is intended for people like me, BAM, who are searching for an online community, conversation, guidance and a virtual shoulder to lean on.
A sista who might share your opinion, who might nod their head in an agreement but not negate your experiences. Hopefully will be an encouraging place for like-minded folks.
